Project Pro-Tapir is a monitoring and conservation program for the tapir in the Atlantic Forest in Espírito Santo. Its mission is to obtain the status of tapir conservation and population viability in the state's Atlantic Forest and to elaborate a conservation plan for the species in the region. Pro-tapir started in 2011 at IMD and evolved. Today, since 2018, it's an independent project and you can access its page on  www.protapir.org.
