RESEARCH AND CONSERVATION PROJECTS

Instituto Marcos Daniel, founded in 2004, is accredited as an OSCIP by the Justice Ministry (Civil Society Organization for Public Interest). It's a non-profit private association located in Vitória, ES, also operating in other states.

The Institution has the goal to promote biodiversity conservation, through conservation projects, environmental education, scientific researches, and technical consultancy. It has a multidisciplinary team of biologists, veterinary doctors and other professionals.

IMD studies the interface between environmental, animal and human health, promoting research and conservation on Brazil's biodiversity under conservation medicine optics.

MAIN SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES

SCIENTIFIC INICIATION

Through scientific initiation programs, IMD enables students from diverse regions in Brazil. The students who participate in the activities are integrated into IMD's interdisciplinary teams and get in touch with all biodiversity conservation areas. Throughout the program, they are oriented by an institution's researcher and develop their own research. Today many students trained by IMD's scientific initiation program are cutting-edge professionals, standing out in the job market.

WILDLIFE HEALTH

IMD has a board of masters and doctors specialized in wildlife health in which they develop a series of activities, such as hematology, biochemistry, immunology, parasitology, pathology, amongst others. 

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANCY

With a multidisciplinary team composed of Masters and Doctors, IMD offers to the market a series of environmental consultancies, for example: Team Capacitation and Training, Environmental Education, Herpetology, Ornithology,  Zoology, Conflicts with Synanthropic Animals, Wildlife Management, Ecology, Eco-toxicology, and Botanics.

COURSES AND CAPACITATIONS

IMD offers diverse courses focused on professionals' formation to act on research, health, and biodiversity conservation.
